Gold Plating
Coating Technologies offers a bright reflective gold plating that meets MIL-DTL-45204 Type I or Type II Grade C or ASTM B488 Type I or Type II Code C.
Gold is an excellent reflector of infrared light, has good electrical and thermal conductivity, excellent solderability and does not oxidize or tarnish so it is less affected by atmospheric contamination than other metals. These attributes make gold plating the best option for products requiring excellent reflectivity, electronics, medical equipment and parts requiring extreme protection from corrosion or harsh elements.
CTL’s high-quality gold can be deposited on just about any metallic substrate with or without a nickel undercoat.
